My it's Fairly Hot Ladies & Gents!

All I want is an outdoor pool

In I'd dive keeping nice and cool

Ice in my chardonnay

I'd be no fool

Oh wouldn't it be lover-ly!

Fresh cold melon for me to eat

Shady oak tree keeping off the heat

Cool hands, cool face, cool feet

Oh wouldn't it be lover-ly!

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city

There's no escaping in a town
This heat is beginning to get me down!
A cold shower seems the only way
To keep me cool during a hot day.

It is hot here too, it sure would be lovely with a pool and a cold drink.;)) Here I dream of being on the beach instead of a hot lab.;))
Hope you can stay cool.:)

I have a calendar from New Zealand. The picture for July is snow. I looked at it for a long time this morning! x

Hot? I'm glad to be right where I am, a cool 65 at the moment. A cool drink is still welcome!

What a lovely post - I can tell you're feeling better already! But you gotta love a bit of sunshine - I felt warm to my bones today and it was a beautiful feeling. Please don't let it end! x

Well, instead of a pool, we have an air conditioner for the house. It's connected to our furnace and cools the whole house, when we need it. (Yes, central heating -- not as common on the British side the pond.)

Mellon, Chardonnay, Maple tree for shade -- I guess we've got some of the essentials.

I hope you can be cool. But does the cold get to your arthritis?

you don't know what hot is until you've sat in the midday sun here in Australia :-)

hope your dream of a pool comes to you...

best wishes

Our garden backs onto a pond that the cows do their business in. It sounds very inviting when I hear them splashing around but it certainly does not look it!

Very clever post.

The summer wind, came blowin’ in - from across the sea
It lingered there, so warm and fair - to walk with me
All summer long, we sang a song - and strolled on golden sand
Two sweethearts, and the summer wind
Frank Sinatra, Summer Wind
A breeze makes it bearable!

I could eat melon every day and never get sick of it. I hope by now you are a bit cooler - it's much better here than it was. I hate intensive heat.

Ah yes. You can't beat a pool for summertime fun.

Melon and ice cubes seem like a distant memory by now - today's shower almost washed me away on my daily walk.
